Tillington Hall Care Home – Stafford
Tillington Hall Care Home in Stafford is a newly built, state-of-the-art 145-bed facility designed to deliver exceptional residential care across four storeys. The home features a wide range of modern amenities including cinemas, a café/bar, sensory rooms, and dedicated hair and nail salons—each thoughtfully integrated to enhance the wellbeing and daily experience of its residents. As part of this flagship development, BAC Flooring & Ceramics was appointed to provide full flooring and tiling solutions throughout the building.
The ceramic tiling package focused on wet areas and staff facilities, using high-quality finishes such as tiles and mosaics, complemented by splashbacks and pipework boxing for a clean, professional finish. The soft flooring installation featured luxury vinyl tiles in bedrooms and communal spaces, safety flooring in wet zones, and carpet on staircases. These were supported by extensive floor preparation and protective measures. Together, the installations created a safe, durable, and visually refined environment that reflects the care home’s commitment to comfort, safety, and contemporary design.
Newcastle Racecourse – Newcastle
Newcastle Racecourse is a prominent sporting and events venue in the North East, known for hosting horse racing fixtures, corporate events, and public gatherings. As part of refurbishment works to the Tattersalls Stand, BAC Flooring & Ceramics carried out ceramic tiling and soft flooring installations to enhance both the functionality and visual appeal of the space.
Ceramic tiling was installed to the back walls of multiple bar areas and within WC facilities, providing a consistent and contemporary finish throughout. The works included wall tiling in dark tones for the bar areas and lighter finishes in the washrooms, complemented by tile skirts and aluminium trims to complete the detailing.
Soft flooring installations included carpet tiles in the main areas, luxury vinyl flooring in walkways, and sheet vinyl in bar and servery zones. Entrance matting, coved skirting, and transition profiles were also installed to ensure a seamless and practical finish. BAC’s scope included floor protection, site supervision, and adherence to programme requirements, resulting in a high-quality flooring solution that supports both the functionality and visual appeal of the racecourse environment.
Harley Davidson – Reading
BAC Flooring & Ceramics was involved in the fit-out of the Harley-Davidson showroom in Reading, delivering a high-spec flooring package that reflects the brand’s premium identity and industrial aesthetic. The project required a mix of hardwearing finishes and stylish detailing across both ground and first floor areas, including staircases and entrance zones.
The flooring installation featured a combination of timber, vinyl, ceramic tiles, and entrance matting. Timber flooring was laid in both plank and herringbone formats to create visual contrast and define different zones within the showroom. Ceramic tiles were used in selected areas to provide a durable and easy-to-maintain surface, while vinyl flooring was installed in practical zones requiring slip resistance. Staircases were finished with matching timber and nosings for continuity, and entrance matting was fitted to manage foot traffic and protect internal finishes. Threshold trims, matwell frames, and coved details were included to complete the specification. The result is a robust and visually striking flooring solution that complements the showroom’s bold interior design.
Port Loop – Birmingham
BAC Flooring & Ceramics delivered a full soft flooring and ceramic tiling package for a residential development in Birmingham. The works included timber-effect flooring and carpet installations throughout the apartments, with additional finishes applied in communal areas such as lift lobbies and staircases. Accessories including trims and stair nosings were incorporated to ensure a clean and durable finish. Protective measures were considered during installation to maintain the integrity of the flooring throughout the construction phase, and all works were carried out in line with industry standards and site-specific requirements.
The ceramic tiling scope covered floor and wall finishes to bathrooms, ensuites, and ground floor lobbies, with coordinated trims and detailing throughout. BAC worked closely with the main contractor to ensure smooth delivery, maintaining clear access, supervision, and alignment with the construction programme. The result was a high-quality finish across all areas, reflecting BAC’s commitment to detail, durability, and client satisfaction.
